NomadFeatured in classic Star Trek episode "The Changeling"
A space probe launched in 2020, its original mission was to search for alien life. After getting smacked into by a meteor Nomad goes rogue, and somehow meets up with an alien agriculture probe called Tan-Ru and transforms itself into an immensely powerful weapon bent on eliminating imperfect life forms.
When Kirk and Company meet up with it, Nomad has just wasted the four billion or so folks in the Malurian system. When it barges onto the Enterprise, it mistakes Kirk for its creator Jackson Roykirk. After it runs amok on the ship, Kirk brings up the fact that he isn't Roykirk. At this point, Nomad realizes it is imperfect, and hence, destroys itself.
